Roswell - Season 2

The town of Roswell, New Mexico, has been haunted for decades with accounts of a looming alien presence. The popular television series ROSWELL, created by Jason Katims, takes that concept one step further, and follows the lives of teenage human-alien hybrids trying to make sense of their place between two worlds, with all the standard issues of teen angst thrown in to complicate life even further. Blending straight drama with elements of science fiction and fantasy, ROSWELL is an engaging drama that works on numerous levels especially in the second season as stakes grow higher for The Pod Squad.

Roswell - Season 2

There are a lot of shows that have lightning-in-a-bottle first seasons, and then fail to recapture that magic in subsequent seasons, but Roswell, from creator Carina Adly MacKenzie, is not one of them. It continued with all of the themes that made us love the show so much in season 1, and ramped them up even more, like the love triangles (Michael, Alex, and Maria), the family ties (Liz and Rosa), the timely politics (ICE arrests and alien abortions), and the adventure that comes with a good sci-fi show. Season 2 tugged on our heartstrings and had us on the edge of our seats.

Also left alone in love, poor Michael (Michael Vlamis). After a season of him and Maria (Heather Hemmens) being in a very sweet relationship, Maria breaks up with him so that she can explore her full alien psychic powers, which may cause her to lose her mind a little bit, as what happened with her mother, Mimi (Sherri Saum). Meanwhile, on-again-off-again lover Alex (Tyler Blackburn) is starting a new relationship, putting his relationship with Michael, once again, on the back burner.

"Obviously, Mr. Jones is related in some way to Max, so we are going to dig into what Max's family history looks like. We're also going to discover in season three that the story that we heard about Nora and Louise may have been the story that they wanted to tell, so our tale about Mr. Jones, even though he seems like a threatening figure right now, is a little more complicated right now."

"She will definitely meet some new and interesting people while she's away," MacKenzie says. "We'll do a bit of a time jump within season three, and Liz will of course be drawn back to Roswell when she gets some new information, but her time in California is going to be really important and really transformative for her."

"I've been writing songs since I was in high school, so it was a really cool opportunity to put myself in someone else's shoes and tell the story from Alex's perspective," MacKenzie says. "I was really excited that Tyler was down for this. We've kind of been building to this moment all season, in which he finally really just says how he feels out loud. It's buried in a song, but it's all said and on the table."

A familiar face is headed to Roswell, New Mexicoin Season 2! TV Guide has learned exclusively that David Anders will guest-star in the show's upcoming season as Travis, a bespoke bootmaker, banjo player, and bovine enthusiast who offers Alex (Tyler Blackburn) and Maria (Heather Hemmens) some help when their car breaks down miles from civilization.

Season 2 of Roswell, New Mexico had no shortage of memorable and shocking moments. We are on the edge of our seats to see what happens next season. In the meantime, find us on Twitter and let us know your favorite Roswell, New Mexico quotes!

Behr played interstellar visitor Max Evans in the original "Roswell (opens in new tab)" television series from 1999 to 2002 on the WB Network and UPN. He will appear in at least four episodes of the reboot's second season, which will air on The CW Network. Shiri Appleby, who played human hero Liz Parker opposite Behr's vulnerable alien character, is on board to direct some episodes in the second season of this new installment.

"Roswell, New Mexico" is based on the infamous conspiracy theory that an alien spacecraft crash-landed (opens in new tab) in New Mexico in 1947. Viewers interested in the modern reboot can now stream the entire first season on The CW app. New episodes will air sometime mid-season in early 2020.

So glad at least one of my favorite shows will be renewed. So disappointed that Supernatural is leaving, I still think it could go for a couple of more seasons but the cast has decided to bid it farewell.

Once again, an Ortecho sister with a sharp tongue and a chip on her shoulder is back in Roswell after ten years gone. In the final moments of season one, Max Evans used his alien powers to resurrect Rosa a decade after her murder... not realizing that he was sacrificing his own life in the process. In season two, Liz mourns her lost love by seeking comfort in science, both earthly and extraterrestrial, as Rosa turns to Kyle to help her find her place in the unfamiliar territory of 2019. In their grief, Isobel explores potentially dangerous methods of self-defense, and Michael spirals into some old bad habits, putting his relationships with Maria and Alex at risk. Finally, our heroes must make a deal with Jesse Manes for information after a friend seems to vanish into thin air... and the apparent \u201Calien abduction\u201D brings new small-town secrets to light.
